Instant ramen is made from hand-pulled wheat noodles and served in a traditional Japanese soup with pork or chicken stock, spring onions, bamboo shoots – or anything you fancy! Chinese instant ramen noodles are dehydrated noodles that have been served in a cup or packet with vegetables and sauce. All you need to do is boil the kettle, soak the instant noodles and you are ready to eat!

How to prepare your Chinese Instant Ramen Noodles

It can be difficult to ruin your instant noodles, especially when you are following the directions on the back of the packet! But there are ways that you can make your Japanese instant noodles UK even better:

  • Boil the required amount of water and add the seasoning packets. Leave boiling for about a minute
  • Drop the noodles in gently – and don’t break them in half! Submerge them under the water for approximately 2 minutes.
  • To slow the cooking process down and avoid soggy noodles, pull the noodles apart in the water and slowing move them from side to side for a couple of minutes
  • If you prefer dryer noodles then let the water almost evaporate. If you prefer your ramen noodles the traditional way, then served in a bowl with the stock and add whatever garnishes you like
