How to cook
Ajinomoto Vegetable Gyoza are quick and easy to prepare. Best results are achieved by combining frying and steaming but this is less complex than it sounds.
First get a medium sized non-stick frying pan with a lid and place it on a high heat. Pour some oil (we find that groundnut oil works best but any neutrally flavoured oil works well) into the hot pan then carefully place 12 Ajinomoto Vegetable Gyoza into the pan and fry for between 1 – 2 minutes until the base of each Gyoza is golden brown.
Then add about enough water to cover the base of the pan (taking care not to pour water directly onto the Gyoza), reduce the heat, put the lid on the pan and steam the Ajinomoto Vegetable Gyoza for 4 minutes.
At this point the water should have evaporated and the base of each Vegetable Gyoza should be crispy again. Serve immediately, with the base of each Gyoza facing upwards to keep them crisp.
